Alma grew up in Half Moon Bay, where she first joined yli as a youth participant in 2016 as a sophomore in high school. She was part of the first cohort to ensure that transportation improvements prioritize those that need these services the most – including crafting Measure W, which led to securing $2.4 billion dollars over the next 30 years for transportation efforts in San Mateo County. Shortly after graduating high school, Alma became an intern in the San Mateo office and continued to implement our transportation efforts. Just recently in 2020, Alma moved to Los Angeles and joined the Long Beach office supporting our tobacco prevention efforts.
During her free time, Alma loves listening to podcasts, watching movies, going on road trips and spending time with her three little ones.
