A native of Northern CA, Leah graduated from St. Mary’s College of CA with a degree in Communications and started her professional career with Fleishman-Hillard in Washington, D.C. with a focus on public relations and community outreach. After a number of years in the public relations sector, she moved to Penang, Malaysia to focus on business development efforts for KPMG Consulting’s expansion in Southeast Asia. Upon returning to the U.S., she relocated to Chicago and continued her career in marketing, public relations and business development as a VP, Director of Business Development with Ashton Partners, an Investor Relations and Financial Services consulting firm.
After 6 years in the serious world of finance, Leah did an about-face and made the move to the extremely fun and lively world of advertising as the VP, Director of Business Development and Public Relations at Element 79, a Chicago-based, global advertising agency. Escaping the Midwest cold, Leah relocated to CA after 13 years in Chicago, worked in the health and wellness industry and received a Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate to aid people in living their healthiest lives.
Leah is currently the Business Development Manager at Youth Leadership Institute and works to share the programmatic work of YLI with organizations across the country with a focus on youth advocacy, education equity, public policy change, and youth/adult partnership training. Leah and her husband Jeff live with their 2 children in Marin County.
