Program Coordinator – City of Fresno Youth Commission

The Program Coordinator (PC) works in partnership with youth (ages 12 – 24) to organize, empower and mobilize youth in the City of Fresno to win real improvements for young people. The PC will train and support youth leaders to:

  • Develop and deepen their political consciousness
  • Assess and understand issues impacting their health and well being
  • Build relationships and partnerships with their peers, elected officials, and community supporters
  • Drive citywide and local neighborhood campaigns that mobilize supporters, create long-term systems and/or policy change, and build power for future victories

The major function of this role will be to address issues impacting youth in the City of Fresno and lead efforts through a strong public and community health framework.

The major functions of the PC will be to identify, recruit, and retain youth and young adult campaign leaders; implement and manage youth campaign meetings; and support assessments, base building, and campaign actions determined by the youth leaders. The PC is responsible for managing all of the logistics and functional tasks necessary for meeting the goals and objectives of the youth commission, and for ensuring that the young people are experiencing high quality and culturally relevant leadership opportunities.

Program Coordinator – Mobilizing Youth to Nix Tobacco (Fresno County)

The Program Coordinator (PC) works in partnership with youth (ages 12 – 24) to organize, empower and mobilize youth and their communities to win real improvements in tobacco control for Fresno County, Madera County, and Tulare County young people. The PC will train and support youth leaders to:

  • Develop and deepen their political consciousness
  • Assess and understand issues impacting their health and well being
  • Build relationships and partnerships with their peers, the faith-based community, and community supporters
  • Drive local and countywide community campaigns that mobilize supporters, create long- term systems and/or policy change, and build power for future victories.

The major function of this role will be to work to address flavored tobacco control efforts through a strong public and community health framework.

The major functions of the PC will be to identify, recruit, and retain youth and young adult campaign leaders; implement and manage youth campaign meetings; and support assessments, base building, and campaign actions determined by the youth leaders. The PC will also work to support overall Fresno County campaigns, initiatives and staff, prepare appropriate materials, collaborate with community partners, and develop and lead training for youth leaders and other campaign partners.

Program Coordinator – Boys & Men of Color, Fresno

Fresno Boys and Men of Color (BMOC) is a community of young leaders who heal, advocate, and serve to make a healthy home for all. The Program Coordinator (PC) works in partnership with youth (14-24) to organize, empower and mobilize youth and their communities to change the narrative, and to affect policy and systems change to improve the health outcomes of young boys and men of color. The PC will train and support youth leaders to develop and deepen political consciousness, assess and understand issues impacting their health and well-being, build relationships and partnerships with youth and community supporters, drive local community youth developed media that mobilizes supporters, create long-term systems and/or policy change, tell their stories and those of their communities, and build power for future victories.
