The Green Internship at Half Moon Bay High School is an internship/work-based learning pilot program designed to connect high school students from the Building and Construction Trades (BCT) pathway with careers and professionals on the Coastside. Students will participate in on-site projects, such as assessing their internship site’s energy efficiency and solving real-world BCT challenges, while receiving weekly collaborative and individual coaching to enhance problem-solving, communication, and career-readiness skills.
The program aims to strengthen partnerships between schools and business leaders and support students in securing post-secondary education or training aligned with their career goals. This pilot is a collaboration between yli, San Mateo County Office of Education, Cabrillo Unified School District, Half Moon Bay High School, and Coastside Building & Construction Trades industries.
This program is for specific students enrolled in the Building and Construction Trades pathway at Half Moon Bay High School and is not open to the general public at this time.
