This program is recruiting up to 3 SFSU undergraduate and graduate students between the ages of 21-24 interested in an incredible professional development opportunity focusing on the intersection of youth empowerment, data driven change, public health, and juvenile justice. With support from yli, youth leaders will create and implement youth participatory action research to identify areas of positive change at the Juvenile Center.

Participants will be expected to commit 2-3 hours weekly, including in-person and virtual training and workshops, and will receive monthly stipends.

The deadline to apply is 11:59PM, Monday, October 28th, 2024. The application form is linked here.

*Please note that participants will need to complete background checks as they will be connecting with young people in-person, inside the Juvenile Justice Center, San Francisco’s secure juvenile detention facility.
