yli Long Beach was selected as a subgrantee of Alliance for a Better Community’s Narrative Change Coalition to support youth-led multilingual education. With over 70% of Long Beach youth speaking more than one language, yli advanced strategies to celebrate and protect multilingual education and was represented at the Voices of Hope Awards by Program Manager Mason Lam. As part of the initiative, youth led a social media narrative change campaign, creating 6 original pieces and adapting 4 toolkit posts. The campaign reached 3,500+ accounts and generated 7,500+ views, highlighting the power of youth voice in shifting public narrative.
