ideas42 RFP Opportunity

The National Compadres Network (NCN) would like to share a very recent opportunity to improve community health through behavioral health strategies. ideas42 is a recently launched project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that provides an opportunity for communities to improve health and receive behavioral science technical assistance in order to better understand behavioral problems they face and to design, implement, and evaluate a behavioral science intervention.

In many parts of the country, it’s a struggle to take action needed to promote health and well-being, even when there are existing community health initiatives in place and people are motivated to get healthier. By learning how to apply inexpensive behavioral insights, communities can improve the effectiveness of their existing efforts to encourage healthy behaviors, tackle social and economic challenges, and take steps to transform access to traditional care.
ideas42 recently released a “Request for Problems” where communities submit a behavioral problem that they are trying to solve and are interested in learning how to use behavioral science in their work.
You can find more information about the project as well as FAQS, a recording of the ideas42 webinar providing more information about the RFP process, and answers to questions from prospective applicants, here. The complete Request for Problems (RFP) application can be found here.
Applications are due by June 17, 2016 at 5 pm EDT2 pm Pacific Time.
We encourage any community working on any health, well-being, or related issues to apply. Also, please share this opportunity with your networks.
