YLI was extremely impressed by and proud of our graduates of the HOPE YLTLP Program. HOPE is Hispanas Organized for Political Equality, a California-wide organization. Each year they host YLTLP, or the Youth Leadership Through Literacy Program, a 6-month long intensive leadership training for young Latinas.
The HOPE youth from Fresno – Jasmine Alvarez, Vanessa Figueroa, Laura Garzon, and Bianca Martinez – attended a graduation in Anaheim, CA in May. Of all of the groups in attendance, the video that YLI’s youth created was selected to play at the graduation in front of all of the graduates and their families and friends. These 4 amazing young women put an enormous amount of time, energy, and creativity into this video and we are all so proud of the income. Enjoy!
