Youth United (YU) is a newly developed youth led program in Merced that focuses on social and racial justice within our communities. Youth United works to address current policy issues on areas from public parks and roadway conditions to affordable housing and employment opportunities. As a youth-led program, YU utilizes Youth Participatory Action Research methodology to identify and develop intentional advocacy strategies that center youth voices and experiences in creating lasting policy change.

- Include youth voices in an upcoming Merced parks and recreation year long study to determine park improvements
- Advocate for improvements in roads and alleyways in South Merced
