It’s Time for Change: Youth-Led Protest in Novato to Fight White Supremacy and Racism

On July 2, 2020, a few dozen Trump supporters congregated in Novato to display their support of Trump. Some protested the Black Lives Matter movement with their racially motivated signs. Youth and young adults from Novato decided to organize this peaceful protest to counter the hate they witnessed the week before.
This peaceful protest is a call for the end of systemic racism, white supremacy, and police brutality. The youth and young adults demand justice and they want change now! The organizers want the people to know their rights and to learn how they can help make a difference!
Everyone interested in helping to support the Black Lives Matter movement is encouraged to attend. This peaceful rally is important because it’s being organized by youth and young adults of color, “locals” in this community. This peaceful protest is being coordinated by A (19), J (23), T (23), F (20), A (28), M (14), A (15) and K (19).
Please wear your mask and practice social distancing to help keep everyone safe and healthy due to the pandemic.
The peaceful protest is this Saturday, July 11, 2020 and begins at 4pm at Slade Park in Novato.
