Alicia was born and raised in San Diego, CA, where she earned her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. She still lives in San Diego with her fiancé and two cats. Alicia’s accounting career began with over five years of experience in local government, and she later transitioned to working with a family-owned business for four years. After that, she realized how much she missed serving her community, which led her to make the switch to the nonprofit sector.
Alicia is enthusiastic about community work and is currently supporting yli’s programs with the Finance Department.
Outside of work, Alicia enjoys crafting, embroidery, and painting. She also loves traveling, visiting new countries, and immersing herself in diverse cultures and cuisines. Whether it is trying new foods or learning about local traditions, Alicia finds joy in expanding her horizons and experiencing the world from different perspectives.
