Yvette Flores

Yvette has a strong passion for health equity, education justice, and cultural dignity. She has experience with policy advocacy work, and working and mentoring youth. She was a youth participant in our Kerman Friday Night Live Chapter most of high school. While in high school, she also served on the Kerman Youth Commission to represent youth voice, planned Kerman Teen Summit, and was part of the Hispañas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) Program. She’s a longtime intern for our office and has been instrumental in training and building relationships with key stakeholders through our TCS work. She has also been building up the leadership capacity of youth leaders by facilitating workshops and training with staff. We are excited to bring on Yvette to lead the Madera Youth Commission and Fresno Metro Ministry Permaculture Youth Work, “a partnership that will provide residents in southwest Fresno the opportunity to work together as a community to provide healthy food options for family meals and become an engaged community.”
