What is this letter about?
As the Coronavirus spreads, many working people are at risk of losing wages and even their jobs. This letter calls on business leaders and public officials to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus and protect workers by putting in place protections for the workers and community members whose lives and livelihoods may be at risk.
How does it align with yli’s values?
Many of the youth who participate in our programs come from working-class families and are workers themselves. They can’t afford to miss work or have their wages cut.
What is yli doing about it?
We have just signed this open letter drafted by the Partnership for Working Families calling on business leaders and public officials to protect workers and community members whose lives and livelihoods may be at risk. And, we are voicing our support on social media: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
