What is the Census?
As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the census is a once every-decade count of everyone living in the country. When we know how many people live in our communities, organizations and businesses are better equipped to evaluate the services and programs needed, such as clinics, schools, and roads. It also determines how seats in Congress are distributed among the 50 states.
In March of 2020, the U.S. Census Bureau began sending every household an invitation to complete a simple questionnaire about who lives at your address. You have the opportunity to respond online, by phone, or by mail, and federal law keeps those responses safe and secure.

What is our goal?
Our goal is to inform and serve the Latinx community in the Central Valley about the 2020 Census and the importance of participating. We will conduct a ZOOM webinar about the benefits about the 2020 Census. We will be sending postcard to local latinx residences, to hear more about our upcoming webinar and sign follow this link:

Qué es el Censo?
Según el mandato de la Constitución de los Estados Unidos, el censo es un recuento de todas las personas que viven en el país, y que se realiza una vez cada década. Cuando sabemos cuántas personas viven en tu comunidad, las organizaciones y las empresas están mejor equipadas para evaluar los servicios y programas necesarios, como por ejemplo clínicas, escuelas y carreteras. El censo también determina cómo se distribuyen los escaños en el Congreso entre los 50 estados.
En marzo de 2020, la Oficina del Censo de Estados Unidos envió a cada hogar una invitación para completar un sencillo cuestionario sobre quién vive en tu dirección. Tienes la oportunidad de responder en línea, por teléfono o por correo, y la ley federal mantiene esas respuestas seguras y protegidas.
