The goal of the Sons & Brothers social media channels is to develop fellows’ skills to create content that resonates with current events, uplifts key policy decisions, and honors diverse cultures from the particular viewpoint of young people who identify as boys and men of color. We believe in the power of communities, especially communities of color, coming together to drive meaningful change and shape a more equitable future for California’s boys and men of color.

As part of this program Sons and Brothers fellows can also expect to be a part of policy advocacy and campaigning by participating in coalitions. In the past, Sons & Brothers has done work to uplift policies like Proposition 6 in California (2024). Currently, Sons & Brothers is working with CA Living Wage for All and ABC (Abolish Bondage Collectively).
