Long Beach Youth Community Advocates

Second-hand smoke is now the 3rd leading cause of preventable death, with over 41,000 deaths in the US each year. Through our partnership with LA County Public Health Department, we are 1 of 21 agencies working to create a healthier LA County by protecting residents from second-hand smoke exposure through education and advocacy.

Youth Community Advocates in Hawaiian Gardens and Signal Hill is currently working on community campaigns to achieve greater health equity in their communities. Through storytelling and advocacy campaigns, they aim to address the ways that secondhand smoke affects communities.
