yli ECV youth, Danna Garcia and Ashley Vega, along with program coordinator Cecilia Lemus, presented on the positive impacts from yli programs ¡Que Madre! and Coachella Unincorporated. This presentation also showcased their work in spreading awareness on issues of mental health and environmental justice through art, storytelling, and YPAR. Lastly, the Coachella City Council was asked to have a discussion with yli on how to support the development of a youth center in Coachella that would serve as a vital 3rd space and climate resilience center.
