Madera Youth Commission begins a series of educational cooking classes to explore our cultural, historical and geographical relationships to food. Starting with boba, MYC learns about the history of tea and discusses how that relates to Asian hate in the U.S today. MYC has since done many variations of these classes with foods such as rice pudding, coffee, and other popular foods. MYC hopes to bring these classes to the community once it is feasible and safe to do so.
