Transform Fresno Youth Leadership Development Program Background

The Transform Youth Leadership Development Program is a year-long program which seeks to develop young people living in the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) project area both professionally and personally to grow their leadership skills and to serve as ambassadors for Transform Fresno. Transform Fresno Youth Leaders will be trained in the areas of environmental justice, financial literacy, public speaking, and more. These skills will equip Transform Fresno Youth Leaders to support and uplift local TCC projects and Transform Fresno community meetings. Future program meetings will be held virtually do to public health concerns with COVID-19.

Eligibility Criteria

All youth who apply must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the curriculum and program design team:

  • Reside in or go to school in the Transformative Climate Communities project area: zip code 93706 or 93721
  • Be available for the entire duration of the program

**Upon completion of the workshop series, youth participants will receive a stipend for participation.
