Calling all Half Moon Bay High School Students! πŸ“£ Get ready for an amazing opportunity to be part of our youth group dedicated to making a difference. 🌟 We’re looking for 2 young people to help us tackle the important issue of preventing underage drinking with our Social Norms Campaign, and we want YOU on board!

In April, we’re diving into FNL Month Activities, and we’ve got engaging Social Emotional Learning lessons just for you. But that’s not allβ€”brace yourselves for a Youth-led FNL Assembly, where YOUR voices matter most! πŸ’¬

We’re on a mission to understand and address YOUR needs with a Youth-led Youth Needs Assessment. Plus, we’ll be presenting to school admins every quarter, making sure YOUR concerns are heard loud and clear. πŸ“š

And the most exciting part? πŸŽ₯ We’re teaming up with Royer Studios Animation Production Company to create a powerful PSA that YOU will lead. 🌈 Join us in shaping a better future for our high school community. Together, we can make a lasting impact! πŸ’ͺ #HighSchoolLeaders #PreventUnderageDrinking

Join us to make a difference! 🌟 Prevent underage drinking, lead in FNL Month, and shape your future. Youth-led initiatives, admin presentations, and an animated Public Service Announcement with Royer Studios! Let’s create change together!

Youth in Half Moon Bay High School work on Social Norms Campaigns, which challenge young people’s perceptions around underage drinking. By collecting input from their peers through surveys and other research tools, youth show that drinking isn’t nearly as prevalent as it seems and use positive messaging to encourage healthy activities. Through this process, youth gain leadership, community building, and networking skills. The program runs between September 2023 – Summer 2024.

Friday Night Live is looking for Half Moon Bay high school students to join our program. We are seeking students who are interested in making change on campus and in their community. Youth will lead a social media campaign on social, emotional, and physical impacts that alcohol and other drugs have on individuals. Youth may choose between a stipend or community service hours for their contribution. Meetings are held every Thursday from 4:30 to 5:30pm at the Half moon Bay Library.

All Half Moon Bay High School students are invited to join our meetings.
