Roosevelt Friday Night Live is recognized for their Positive Social Norms Peer and Parent Media Campaign. For their peer component, they designed three social norms posters utilizing a social media theme: first one was Instagram, the second one was Twitter, and third one was SnapChat. Youth put up close to 300 posters on their campus and reached 2,203 students.
For every social norms poster the chapter released, they created a SnapChat Geo-filter to coincide with their message. They also organized and launched three SnapChapter Filter Challenges during lunchtime to engage their peers, get them to utilize the filter, and entered them into a drawing to win a gift card. All three SnapChat Geo-filters were viewed 4,694 times online.
For the parent component, the chapter partnered with their local iHeartMedia to craft and record two sets of parent PSAs. The first set was aired during the holidays and the second set during graduation time to educate, create awareness, empower parents and adults to not supply alcohol to minors. They were able reach 1.6 million people in the valley with their parent PSAs.
