Genesis was born and raised in Fresno, CA. From a young age, she always knew she wanted to pursue higher education and provide for underserved communities as she is proudly a child of undocumented parents. Genesis is passionate about helping individuals find their sense of community and providing a safe space for all to share topics that are not often talked about.
Genesis is a first generation college student, and obtained her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis in 2023. There, she majored in Chicana/o Studies, as well as minored in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s studies. She has a background in working in peer counseling, and loves meeting new people.
Outside of yli, Genesis enjoys exercising, watching documentaries, and learning about different cultures.
