This training will dive into best practices on how to support and work with LGBTQ and gender nonconforming youth. Participants will leave with a better understanding of the basic concepts of gender and sexuality and how to best support LGBTQ+ youth. This training will focus on the specific needs of LGBTQ+ youth and how to build more LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces. This workshop will be interactive and will provide participants with an opportunity to run through common scenarios and practice intervening in homophobic and transphobic situations.
