Mars was born and raised in Fresno. She started off as a program participant in Boys and Men of Color in 2017. She graduated from CSU, Fresno in 2020 with a BS in Public Health and CSU, San Marcos in 2024 with a MPH in Community Health. Before coming back to yli, she served as a Communicable Disease Investigator and Health Education Specialist working on COVID-19, Oral Health, and Diabetes prevention initiatives. Her professional goal is to ensure that communities of color within the Central Valley have ample opportunities to live, grow, and thrive.
Outside of work, she is an enthusiast of all trading card games and enjoys spending time in community.
