CalFresh Healthy Living, in partnership with yli and other community organizations in Kerman and surrounding areas, is hosting a Kerman Parks Forum for the community that will focus on improving health through Parks & Recreation.
Topics will include making parks accessible, diseases affecting our community, making physical activity accessible, increasing community resources, and access to wellness services. The event will be taking place Saturday September 24th, 9am-12pm at Kerckhoff Park Scouts Hut 15061 W. G St. Kerman, CA 93630.

The Youth Fund celebration in Long Beach highlights four youth, who spearheaded a program that provides free mentorship to rising high school students and community college transfers, and interrogates structural educational inequity. This event also raises funds to further support and bolster the program.

The yli Youth Fund is an innovative grant program that puts funds directly in the hands of youth to develop and implement their own social justice projects. Past grant cycles supported youth to create a real-time air quality app for families in West Fresno, host Know Your Rights workshops for immigrant families in San Mateo County, and produced a documentary with displaced young people in Merced.
